Job Description
We are searching for an Electrical Engineer to join us here at AECOM. The Bangalore office has an established track record of successfully delivering major rail projects. Our office has good transport links and accommodates a multidisciplinary transportation design centre. Agile, flexible & remote working options will be considered.

We are now looking to enhance and grow this team with individuals who have a sound technical background; (primarily with Stations (M&E), Points Heating and Signalling power design experience who share our enthusiasm and determination, to support our expanding workload.

You will have proven design experience of delivering projects to client’s satisfaction at the appropriate standard, ensuring accuracy of drawings and calculations, ensuring designs are economic and appropriate and that the relevant codes and standards are complied with. You will have strong business development and client relationships skills and the ability to develop and manage the work of others.

The team provides design, assessment, inspection, construction support and management services on a wide range of rail projects. Our services offered to our clients include feasibility studies, scheme designs and detailed designs. Our current portfolio of works comprises a diverse mix of international Rail infrastructure projects.

Contribute to concept design.
Where required safely carry out site surveys
Develop detailed design for Lead Engineer approval.
Attend design team meetings as appropriate.
Obtain design information from sub-consultants.
Produce detailed design information including calculations and design sketches.
Liaise with CAD Technician for the production of drawings.
Prepare technical reports.
Formulate the project specifications for construction.
Support the site during the construction phase if necessary, to ensure construction is in accordance with specifications/drawings
Carry out risk assessments and provide design information for the Health and Safety file
Experienced in the use of UK Network Rail, London Underground, Railway Group Standards as well as the relevant British Standards and Eurocodes
Understanding of Health and Safety including CDM
Good standard of written English and communication.
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

BE/ BTech or ME/MTech degree in Electrical Engineering.
Chartered Engineer -CEng / Incorporated Engineer- IEng (or working towards) and member of a professional institution.
Minimum Requirements:

Experienced in the use of UK Network Rail, London Underground, Railway Group Standards as well as the relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.
Understanding of Health and Safety including CDM
Good standard of written English and communication.
